Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation

To insulate your attic, exterior or interior walls, or foundations (including basement insulation), our team uses sprayed urethane foam (also known as polyurethane). We work with Boréal Nature Élite closed-cell foam from Genyk, which contains recycled plastic and has a signature green color.

Because this foam expands immediately when sprayed, it fills even the smallest gaps. It adheres to wood, metal, concrete, and drywall, then hardens to form a strong, airtight barrier that keeps warmth inside.

This type of insulation acts as both an air barrier and a vapor barrier, keeping moisture outside your building. Its thermal resistance (R-value) is exceptionally high—R-6 to R-7 per inch of hardened foam.

Thanks to this level of performance, you’ll save significantly on heating and cooling costs. The foam prevents warm air from escaping in winter and blocks hot, humid air in summer. It even strengthens structural elements by up to 300% once hardened. And more than 20% of the material is recycled.

Boréal Nature Élite, from Genyk, also contributes to healthier indoor air quality by sealing off allergens and minimizing the entry of insects and rodents. Its airtightness keeps the air clean and comfortable year-round.

Don’t forget to check your eligibility for financial assistance through the Rénoclimat program for residential insulation projects.

Blown Cellulose Insulation

Blown cellulose fiber is a high-performance, eco-friendly insulation made from 85% recycled newspaper and 15% fire-retardant materials. Used for decades in both residential and commercial buildings, it offers an R-value of 3.7 per inch, outperforming fiberglass insulation.

By simply adding a few more inches of cellulose, you can easily reach—or exceed—the energy efficiency standards required by the Construction Code.!
